Recently I completed the game Syndicate on the xbox 360 (continuing to make my way though my backlog of games) :-). The game is based on the game which has the similar name from a little over 20 years ago, by developed BullFrog. The original syndicate game was a DOS and MacOS game (I am pretty sure it was on the Amiga as well) where the player started their own corporation with the aim

A few days ago is seems like everywhere on the internet (or at least the places I hang out in), were publishing images of concepts of what a Nintendo phone would look like, which they seem have branded the SmartBoy, calling back to the original mobile hit, the GameBoy. The concept seems to be modular in design, with a gamepad add-on, and add-ons, like a higher megapixel camera, that connect
Syndicate on the xbox - return of a classic!
Classic SyndicateThis past week I came across a mention of the game Syndicate for the xbox 360 (and PS3 and PC obviously). Back in the day, I remember playing the original on my friend's Amiga (and not liking it much), but as soon as I got my own computer (a Performa running System 7.5.3) and I got over the learning curve of the game I went on to complete it. I am pretty sure I posted this some time ago, but I was listening to an episode of Retronauts the other day and I was reminded of this game's existence. Pretty trippy! the audio and video from this reminds me of the "good ol' days" of having an atari 2600 in the late 80s - and the 2 games that I had for it - Donkey Kong and Galaxian.
Super Mario Crossover!
This is a good find: Play Super Mario Brothers with your favorite character from Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mega Man, Simon Belmont or that guy from Contra :-) Now of course some things just don't work like Samus' blaster is kinda pathetic in the Mario World, and some things word great (like the Contra guy's gun). It's a nice little NES nostalgia mashup for those of us who grew up with it
NES controlled with a Theremin
This has got to be the coolest thing I have seen in recent months! This version of Super Mario Brothers is controlled with a Theremin. For those of you who don't know (like me), a Theremin is a musical instrument that you play without making any contact with the instrument.Have a quick look at the video - it's sure to amaze.
