TV Binging and Series Finales (part II)
The other post was getting a bit long, so I am continuing it here (who knows, there may even be a part III!)Marvel's Agents of SHIELDI rather liked this series. It follows a group of SHIELD agents who are protecting the earth from whatever big bad happens to exist. All events take place after the first Avengers movie, so the big bad that kicked it off was HYDRA, and Agent Coulson was brought back from
Review: How to Be Black
Monday, Sep 7 2020 12:18 | Books, Entertainment, goodreads, Humor, review, Social Media, Social Networks, Society
How to Be Black by Baratunde R. Thurston My rating: 5 of 5 stars I won this book at a conference a few years back (Baratunde was one of the keynote speakers) and I finally had a chance to read it. For someone who didn't spend all of my formative years in the US, I think the subject is approached in a humorous and approachable manner. Heck, in some segments,
A bit of a delayed April Fool's joke that I saw on Reddit a few weeks ago. Not much happening this year in terms of jokes given the somber coronavirus reality, but this was funny :-)

Here's to another completed game :-) After the odyssey that was Assassin's Creed Odyssey this one felt like a light breeze! This game was another GamePass game that I decided to try out, and I rather liked it. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the Metroidvania-style gameplay (sometimes I love it, sometimes I absolutely hate it), but this hybrid brawler-Metroidvania game
Think Geek April Fool's
Last but not list, on the 2019 list of of April Fool's jokes is Think Geek. These were my favorite (and some times these things become reality!) I don't know what that string of numbers on on the Captain Marvel pager. Any Marvel fans out there to help me out?Captain Marvel Universal Pager (link)RETRO TECH FOR THE MODERN HEROPagers. Every cool 90’s kid had them, but what exactly
The Impossible Whopper
Burger Kind punks everyone who thought their Whoppers were made of real beef. Sadly, I think one of these days we will find out that fast food was not beef all along (and not, it won't be veggie burgers :p)
Screen Cleaner by Google Files
This April Fool's joke is from Google proper. While it's intended as humor...I could see self-cleaning glass in our future!
Roku Press Paws
This one was another interesting April Fool's that has caught my attention. I think what got me was the pet-appeal of the fake ad. Next year they should do something with cats ;-)
Another of my favorite April Fool's fake announcements from this year's crop of April Fool's Jokes, the persistent, real life, owl notification that keeps pestering you to practice your language skills on Duolingo ;-)
Continuing on with the April Fool's theme for this week, here is another one: An ad for the Honda "Pastport" (pun on their passport line of SUVs...) that rolls back the ameneties of the car to what existed in the 90s ;-)
STO: The Gorn Discovery
Wednesday, Apr 3 2019 10:16 | aprilFools, Entertainment, Humor, MMORPG, StarTrek, video games, VideoGames
Along with the "artisanal" soundtrack for the game this year (something that seems to have become an annual tradition in STO), there was an announcement for a new (April Fool's) expansion of the game titled "The Gorn Discovery"There are a lot of humorous puns here (see announcement below) , but in all seriousness this would have been an interesting expansion. At the very least it's another starting
Google Tulip & Google Wind
This year's Google April Fool's joke...or at least one of them, is Google Tulip: using AI to translate plant communication to allow for human-plant communication. It was pretty funny ;-). While watching this yesterday, I also came across Google Wind from a couple of years ago, also from the same Google Netherlands team. The Netherlands team seems to have quite a lot of fun making
This was was one of the more "m'eh' comic strips of Sev Trek. I also don't get why the enterprises are plates of food. I guess I'll go with it for now :p (original archive here)
Make it slow!
One of the weaker episodes of TNG, as far as I am concerned. The one where Wesley accidentally trips over some dandelions and gets the death penalty. A nice pun on "make it so" however, so points for that ;-) (original archive here)
Sev TNG: Parallel Universes
I guess this one is a riff from that episode where all the enterprises (from different realities) were converging on the same space. I did find this punchline to be the best, other ones submitted were a little m'eh.(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Galactic Relatives
From the episode with the forerunners (or was it precursors?) where we find out that we're all related in the milky way galaxy (or at least this quadrant of the galaxy). I do like this alternate punchline too: "Well get ready for another round of family feud!"(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Finding Data's Head
A riff of Data's time traveling head ;-) My favorite alternative is "I knew he had a screw loose."(original archive here)
What do electric sheep dream of?
I guess the answer is "androids" :-) . A little humor from this weekend's Kotaku Sunday Comics (and an obvious take on "do androids dream of electric sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.
Sev TNG: Yar's death
A commentary on Tasha Yar's death on TNG. I actually like the chosen punchline, but a close second favorite is "Yar today, gone tomorrow."(original archive here)
May the Swartz be with you!
I guess this is for all the Star Wars fans ;-) I think I discovered this on Reddit somewhere.
Sev TNG: Riker the cardshark
Interesting strip. I don't think we see a ton of poker playing on TNG, but it's something memorable. I do wonder why chess and poker. Why not go to the arcade or something (yes, I know, these two things are cheap to produce...). An alternate proposed punchline that I also liked was "I think one thing, say another and do a third."(original archive here)
Sev TNG: I am sensing the obvious
This is an obvious dig at the poor writing that they had for Troy in the first few seasons on TNG (basically until Jelico came and asked why she wasn't in uniform). Troy is such a great character, just needed better writing. I do like one of the alternate taglines a little better "Don't say it, just do it." - it calls back a little to the other "star" franchise ;-)(original archive here)
Sev Trek - Picard playing poker
A reference to the final episode of the TNG series. Picard joins the crew for a poker match and says he should have done this a long time ago. I guess this is what happens once the cameras stop rolling :-) I liked this punchline --> "I" "HAVE" "NO" "CHIPS!" --a reference to There Are Four Lights but it doesn't quite fit in :)(original archive here)
Same thing we do every night...
Sunday, Apr 15 2018 17:11 | animation, comics, Entertainment, Humor, PinkyAndTheBrain, video games, VideoGames, WB
...try to take over the world! A little humor retrieved in today's comics. I don't know what the video game is that is the original reference, but anything with The Brain will most likely give me a giggle :-)
Sev Trek - lifelong companions
I wonder if this is a reference to that episode where Picard had heart surgery. Another punchline I liked was "Is this ANOTHER character building episode?"(original archive here)
Stripping away the nerd-cred
A recent comic I came across this past weekend. It made me laugh a bit, but it also made me wonder: when did we turn a page as a society where we broadcast our every move... How did this happen? (not an "oh the horror!" type of question, just curious)
One last hoorah for April fool's!
OK, I lied - this will be the last 2018 post on April Fool's corporate jokes. The last two things come from Ikea, and from Sony. The Playstation Board game (would love to know the heuristics and game mechanics on that one!), and the Ikea (IoT?) Toilet and Laptop.
Bartender Elbow? - get Jagerbalm!
OK, this is the last of my April Fool's posts! I've never had Jagermeister, but this fake ad was pretty funny (another one I've shared a few times this week).
Diploma in Human Survival
I think this is the only April Fool's joke to come out of an educational provider. Courses.com.au seems to be a course/job certification website that matches potential students with educational providers in Australia. This certificate of human survival is perfect for a post-apocalyptic world!
Sev Trek: Set phasers to...?
I guess this is the new Sev Fleet phaser setting scale ;-) I liked this alternate "Setting: ECB - Emergency Commercial Break"(original archive here)
Quest Management Kit
Another April Fool's joke product from ThinkGeek I've watched at least 6 times thus far! I think the fact that it combines DnD and Office Space makes it hit the sweet spot of comedy :-)
Burger King's chocolate whopper
As April Fool's jokes go, this is so bad that it's good. I like the building of burger through sweet materials but I can't imagine eating this. Here is the materials video:
Google's bad joke detector
More April Foolin' - with Google's Bad Joke Detector (seriously saves space!)
Only in Japan! (and for April Fools) :-)
The New T-Mobile Sidekick!
Continuing with the April Fool's parade, I actually had a good laugh at this one. The Sidekick was T-Mobile's brand for the Danger Hiptop (nice device, needs a comeback!), which is what this ad/fake product is referencing. That said, any fans of Get Smart will also appreciate the shoe-phone :-)
Today is a good day to learn Klingon!
Well...April Fool's is here, and Think Geek has not disappointed! I think I'll space these things out over the next week, but here is what caught my eye first: Klingon fridge magnets!
Sev Trek: Cue Harassment
A bit of a silly punchline. My preferred punchline is an alternate "Don't worry, I've been bothering Schidzo and Gainweight too!" that refers to Q's annoying of Janeway and Sisko :-)(original archive here)
Cobra Kai Returns - wait...what?
Now THIS is interesting. It's both and underdog story, and a redemption story, and potentially a role reversal story, all steeped in heavy vats of nostalgia. When the "youtube red original" logo came on screen I immediately wrote this off, BUT I was hooked and needed to see the rest of the trailer (you know, the car accident rule, you know it's gruesome, but you can't look away). I am glad I
Monday, Mar 26 2018 19:06 | Assassins Creed, comics, Entertainment, frustration, Humor, video games, VideoGames
I came across this comic on Reddit the other day. I both laughed, and wanted to throw a controller at the screen :p While I did want to complete all the option pursuits and co-ops and such, this is one issue that made me want to break the screen :-) Imagine trying to jump (or heck go down and not jump to a 'random' location) and being on a timer. eff this :p
Sev Trek TNG: The picard manoever
I guess this is a dig at the all talk, little action criticism of TNG ;-) I liked the alternate punchline " I'll explain later. Meanwhile, set a course for ROMANCE." but that was a little too esoteric (a callback to a Saturday Night Live skit, Love boat the next generation)(original archive here)
Naming in video games
I cam across this over the weekend...it gave me a bit of chuckle ;-)
Sev Trek TNG: Data vs Lore
How can you tell Data and Lore apart? I guess in this parody universe the evil twin is called VHS ;-)(original archive here)
Looks like we're having another Nor'Easter! How much snow this will bring is anyone's guess. I guess that we'll just have to wait and see. Here is a meme that I created last week when we had another Nor'Easter (yup! that's right). I wonder if I should tag this as #PhDLife :p
Sev Trek | The next generation
A bad punchline, but it does go to show (no pun intended) that Troi wasn't really appreciated a ton in TNG, and Gene R. needed to be reigned from some of his more silly (and even offensive) ideas...(original archive here)
Star Wars intergalactic language - where's the school???
A little bit of humor from the feeds today. This was a Saturday Night Live skit that was cut for time, but it's so awesome. How do those people far far away understand the bleeps, blops, and ooouuuuuuuaaaaa (my best text impression of Chewbacca)?
Sev TNG - Doctor Pavllovaski is back!
Polaski get so much flack from TNG fans. I actually enjoyed her on screen as the doctor, both as a kid watching TNG for the first time, and now. I like Crusher too, but I guess there is only room for one Chief Medical Officer.(original archive here)
I guess this is a take it, or leave it, type of humor. Saw this posted on facebook by one of my acquaintances who is a (medical) doctor. Hope I never have to go through the pain of stones :-)
Sev TNG - Will will ever get his own command?
This punchline never really made much sense to me. Something about baldness? :-/(original archive here)
Cognitive dissonance in games
Found earlier this week. It an interesting commentary on a common trope of video game stories - accused of a violent crime, didn't do it, be violent to clear you name.
Demodogs - a bit of a mashup
Sunday, Feb 18 2018 20:17 | comics, Entertainment, Humor, netflix, StrangerThings, Television, thundercats
A little humor found earlier today on Kotaku Sunday comics - a funny mashup between Thudercats and Stranger Things
Sev TNG: Introducing Lal
I actually started wondering recently if what data was doing was ethical...(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Keiko's kid
Another eye-rolling punchline. I think I found this funny in high school, but now it seems sophomoric :-)(original archive here)
Expectation vs. Reality in video games
A little humor from last week's gamercat
Sev TNG: Accelared growth
But...then they might end up like Shinzon...do you want to deal with Shinzon? ;-)(original archive here)
A little Monday morning humor from the Nerdist (on account of the Tarantino Trek rumors)
Sev TNG: the continuing mission
I suppose that's a fair jab - "the forehead of the week" :-)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Balding captains
Did Kirk go bald? I honestly don't remember :-)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Vash the stampede
Hmmm... wonder if Vash comes back in post-nemesis novels... I wonder if she ever ascends (if the Q are sort of like the ancients in Stargate)(original archive here)
Donald and John...
Seems like people are having fun with Trump in a variety of ways. Here is a comic that puts Trump in a Calvinesque (Calvin & Hobbes, not the other Calvin ;-) ) role. This would be much more fun if it weren't so serious. Stable Genius indeed...
Sev TNG: Data looking for love
Wonder why data needs to look for a romantic partner... Is he programmed for that?(original archive here)
Gamercat waits for Greek Santa ;-)
A little holiday humor from Gamercat that I just came across. A little late for most western Santas (St. Nicholas), but not that late for Greek Santa (St. Basil).
Sev TNG: Captain Picard Day!
I guess Picard changed his tune in the books that continue the series ;-)(original archive here)
what an odd recommendation...
Wednesday, Dec 27 2017 11:08 | algorithms, Books, Computing, goodreads, Humor, recommendation, Social Media, Social Networks
I was on GoodReads the other day updating my reading progress when I saw this bizarre book recommendation. I wonder if this is society's commentary on MOOCs :p
Sev TNG: Make it show ;-)
I just realized that both Sisko and Picard are bald...(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Program #9
I guess the subtext here is something sexual in nature? The punchline sort of works because it it leaves a lot to the imagination, but it's not all that funny :-/ (original archive here)
A castlevania christmas
A little humor found this past weekend on Kotaku's Sunday Comics (especially for those Castlevania fans) :-)
Sev TNG: Dr. Polaski joins the crew
I do wonder if there is a universe there (or a book series?) where Polaski and Crusher meet and collaborate...(original archive here)
Wait...did I read that?
When I kicked off my plan to get my dissertation proposal done (last spring), I had earmarked this fall semester as the literature review semester. I had a sense that it would take quite some time to do, but I didn't think it would take me the entire fall semester. I guess hope for the best, plan for the worst is the operative phrase. Over the past few years I've been collecting articles
Don't be a Turkey
This came across my feeds sometime during Thanksgiving, so in a sense it's a bit late, but considering that Turkeys are traditional in quite a few norther European cultures for Christmas, I might be a little early ;-). Some humorous commentary on Ajit Pai the current FCC chairman (and subsequently the corporatecracy...or just corpocracy that's ruling us these days) and the upcoming fight for
Sev TNG: Missing Away Mission
🙄 OK, this was pretty bad. It appealed to the high schooler in me (when I first read it), but it really has not aged well :-)(original archive here)
The human cooks!
This made me smile this past weekend :-)I've heard of butterball turkeys in the past, but have never really bothered to look up what makes the different from 'regular' turkeys
Sev TNG: Out of phase
Shine a light on it...as Marty would say ;-)(original archive here)
A game plan for playing games
A little humor from last week's gamercat. I think I went through the 'must play every game' phase when I was in middle school, I've slowly paired it down to the 'I only have so much time, what do I want to play?' :-) The urge to play (or at least try) them all though is still there :)
Sev TNG: More technobabble
This seems a lot like a Janeway joke...or from the show Slings and Arrows "yes,...black!" :-)(original archive here)
Mario's worst enemies
Tuesday, Nov 14 2017 01:30 | comics, Entertainment, Humor, nintendo, supermario, video games, VideoGames
A little humor from last week's Nerdrage. Mario's most recent enemy seems very...pedestrian :-)
Not exactly what I was looking for...database
It's been a very reading-heavy few weekends. I've been trying to go through the massive amount of articles that I downloaded for my dissertation proposal so I can start writing the final section (the lit review) that's been on my mind since the summer. I was looking for an article on one of the Sage databases, and I thought that an author & keyword combination would do its magic (especially
Sev TNG: Fire at will!
LOL... I don't know how many times, in how many iterations I've heard this joke :-)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: the Picard Maneuver
A jab at the first season uniforms ;-) I do wonder if Patrick Stewart did not have a problem with them, if the uniforms would have stayed the same. More skants? :-)(original archive here)
A little pre-Halloween humor. I came across these on Reddit last week: some off-brand costumes (I guess this is to not have to pay royalties ;-) ).
Sev TNG: The X-Gen choice
I guess you have to be of a certain age to get this reference (link to Pepsi commercial)(original archive here)
You can't please everyone
A little humor from this weekend's video game related comics :-)
Sev TNG: Captain Obvious?
This just reminds me of the "Captain Obvious" Hotels.com commercials :-)(original archive here)
I came across this comic strip a week or so ago (but of course I forgot to post). It reminded me of my own (sometimes misplaced) nostalgia for older games. They were marvelous for their time, but really hard to go back to these days (unless you are very persistent).
Sev TNG: Red Alert
I somehow think that this is not what Reed had in mind ;-)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: choose a door, any door.
Back in the day this seemed funny (just for the sake of being funny). I think these days (especially with what's been happening in the world) it seems like a good episode of trek in the making... (you know, the whole exploring social and political issues of the day through the lens of scifi)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Where are the toilets on this ship
The joke works only as a double-entendre (probably doesn't translate well either). I think my two favorite alteranates are: " Does it matter? These uniforms have no zippers." and " You heard me back at Starbase 5: "Does anybody need to go? I'm not stopping once we go to warp..."" (original archive here)
Insanity over nintendo...
I came across last week's gamercat and it made me laugh, and ponder, a bit. Why are nintendo titles generally not available at launch, under-stocked, and over-priced? Even old games for the DS are not cheap (sometimes they are cheaper on ebay used, but not always). What gives?
Sev TNG: space cats!
It's funny, but I had never thought of Spot's gender on the series. The alternate punchline that I would prefer is: THAT cat was a stunt double. (original archive here)
Sev TNG: Parting gift for the Borg
I do wonder what Wesley would have done for the borg, given his 'traveler' abilities and all. This alternate actually made me laugh: I locked him in a closet with Barf and a dribble! (original archive here)
Sev TNG: no sound in space
Well...not that bad. I guess in space no one can hear you scream either :p I did like this alternate though "I don't know, but Industrial Light and Magic gets $18,000 every time it happens!!!"(original archive here)
PS Vita revival? :p
Wednesday, Sep 6 2017 09:00 | Entertainment, gamercat, Humor, Playstation, Technology, video games, VideoGames, vita
I love the whipping that the Playstation Vita gets from time to time ;-). It's not that I didn't want the system to succeed, but between the lack of support and the many proprietary features...well it was begging to be on top of the dirt pile :-)
How college loans got evil
Tuesday, Sep 5 2017 01:30 | collegeHumor, consumerProtection, economics, Education, Humor, politics, regulation, School
Well, it's the first day of a new academic year. I guess this is the most sobering. This shit makes me angry (and I have no student loans!)
Sev TNG: Picard the ladies-man
Hmmm... this would seem better if delivered by a Vulcan. Of course, it could have been after the mind-meld with Sarek...so ...potentially explainable. One of the alternates was a little better in my opinion " At least Tryhard's still here! Mine are all either transferred, dead, or whisked off with Q!" (original archive here)
Sev TNG: Free cable
I guess it should be free satellite, not free cable. I prefer the alternates of "Sure beats the pajamas that Star Fleet makes YOU wear!" and "After a few Millennia, you tend to run out of fashion ideas. . ." (original archive here)
Music Rewind: Mmmbop
😂LOL.
Sev TNG: Measly is going to the Academy
I guess this one is for those who didn't like Wesley Crusher. The alternative punchlines were all very mean-spirited toward Wesley, but this one was the one that I liked the best from all of them, and it feels a little more comic-strip-like: Sev Fleet's Insurance Company won't insure the Enterprize while you're on board. (original archive here)
Dissertation haunts you
From PhD comics from a week or so ago... One of the reasons I don't really want to go on vacation until my dissertation proposal (or heck, even until my data collection) is done.
Bugsy is back!
I don't fully get this comic strip, but the funny thing is that I recognized the character (Bugsy) even though I've only really played about 5 minutes of the game on someone else's console...around 20 years ago.

How to get rid of Magikarp...
From last week's (or from two weeks ago?) Gamercat - how to get rid of your Magikarp... I do wonder if anyone is still playing that game (Magikarp jump). I found it dull and repetitive.
Sev TNG: Jazz humor...or not
This one didn't really resonate with me these days. Yes, it makes sense for Riker - given his interest in Jazz, but I think the alternate submission of " We could use it as a hood ornament for the Enterprize" was a little better.(original archive here)
Sev TNG: I mean, have you looked at the other guy?
It's hard to believe, but I guess life imitates art. A couple of weeks ago the Democratic Party in the US unveiled their new slogan: I mean, have you seen the other guys? (link to TheHill.com). I guess someone's got to make the Federation look good with all those badmirals running around :p (original archive here)
From last week's gamercat, a commentary on the stupid game (on mobile) of Magickarp jump... (yes, it's stupid - as stupid as Office Space: Idle Profits)
Sev TNG: disfunctional tractor beams
Not really sure how to interpret this one. Wondering what I thought when I originally read this.(original archive here)
How to get treats, if you're a cat
Yes...this trick works really well ;-) (from last week's gamer cat comic)
Sev TNG: the French captain
Hmmm... Should Picard be drinking tea? Or, since there is synthahol why not some good Bordeaux? ;-) (original archive here)
Miss Jane - It's a fine day
A colleague's facebook post reminded me of this song the other day. I haven't heard an ATB song in ages. Need to see if anything new has come out.
The Crystal Method - Name of the Game
Sunday, Jul 16 2017 10:00 | #musicrewind, Entertainment, Humor, Music, splinterCell, video games, VideoGames
From the Splinter Cell soundtrack (and also the intro song for the first splinter cell). I didn't find an actual music video for this but here is a fan made video using the last game in the series (Blacklist). I actually don't remember hearing this on the radio back in the day, I've only known it as a game soundtrack.
Sev TNG: IBM compatibility
Oh the 90s... when everything was IBM compatible (well, PCs before Windows took over were touted as being IBM compatible, which I guess was DOS compatible). I do wonder what today's equivalent would be. What OS would data run?(original archive here)
I saw this the other day on AxaMonitor's facebook page, a trolling post from TampAxanar (a humorous reaction to the Axanar debacle?). I did smile a bit at the well deserve ribbing of Alec Peters, but there is still a part of me that wants to see the damned thing produced.
Sev TNG: Klingons always annoyed
A bit sophomoric humor about a Klingon's resting angry face...(original archive here)
Coolio feat L.V. Gangsta's Paradise

Sev Trek: The X Generation
With the end of the original series trek, the Sev Trek crew moved onto the X Generation. Before I start re-posting from the archive, here is an introduction to the crew. 20 years ago when I first came across these I thought they were funny. Some of them now seem quite sophomoric... 😐 . I love Terry Crews ;-) Now all this game needs is a Jake Peralta recruit haha.I wonder if I need an Xbox One X to run this. I seriously don't see a reason to buy an xbox one X over an xbox one S given my own gaming habits.
Sev Trek: Shapeshifter

From this past week's Sunday Comics section of Kotaku - Snake talking about the evolution of the metal gear mech design, and news on fidget spinners (a fad of the mid 2017s for those future historians looking back).
The Orville - scifi humor!
The Orville is a scifi comedy show coming to FOX this coming fall. It being on FOX, if the show is any good it will most likely be cancelled (LOL), but I hope it's good and it stays on the air (if Family Guy is still on the air...then surely this must remain as well!)Many seem to be comparing it to Galaxy Quest, but I think the comparison is a bit off. Galaxy Quest was about actors playing

Someone needs to have Trek time travel and do fast food...but these days that might just be free product placement...Advertising ruins everything! :-) (original archive here)
I completely forgot to have a look at ThinkGeek's April Fool's lineup. Usually some of their April Fool's products make it to production (and some are actually just jokes). I picked three of my favorites. The Hot Pockets burrito sleeping bag. I picked this (even though I don't particularly find Hot Pockets all that appetizing) because I think that there are enough people who want
The one that got me...
Hulu "Hu" video shortening service was an April fool's joke that got me. It showed up before April fool's (maybe it was 4/1 somewhere when I saw it), and my reaction was "NOPE! not going this sh*t! what kind of product is this?"A day later... I realized it was a joke...
Of Gnomes and Pets
Two April fool's products which I think were particularly well done:1. Google Gnome (modeled after Google Home, but for outdoors) 2. Alexa Pet Translator
The artisanal sound system
When I logged into Star Trek Online I heard a bunch or BLIM, BLORP, SWOOOOSH sounds. I thought Q was at it again. Well, it turns out that it was just the new artisanal sonification system :p (Happy April Fools)
Sev Trek: Strong language
I was getting some Snakes on a Plane thoughts with this one " I have had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday through Friday plane!" ;-)(original archive here)
Sev Trek: Punks
Sort of reminds me a bit of the Voyager episode...(original archive here)
Sev Trek: Whale thoughts

Sev Trek: Mindmelding with whales
Who knew you could mind-meld with a whale... (original archive here)
Joining the Breach
The Breach came back as an event queue in Star Trek Online last week. This comic sums up exactly how I felt about it. Although to be honest, it's much shorter, and the rewards seem better as compared to the original Breach queue, and I need to get enough Lukari marks to finish off that reputation... (original here)
Somehow I got on the White House's mailing list (must have been some petition I signed at some point), and now I get spam like this. I guess the White House is seriously pushing their new reality show "Presidential", but it faces steep prime-time competition from ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, and El Rey. I think Sharnado probably does better than this new reality show ;-)
Sev Trek: The Voyeur Home
Hey, it's that time-traveling movie about saving the whales... :-) (original archive here)
Sev Trek: The spoof of spock
Kirk should have had more meaningful relationships in his time :-) (original archive here)

Not a great punchline... ;-) (original archive here)
