Sev Trek - Picard playing poker
A reference to the final episode of the TNG series. Picard joins the crew for a poker match and says he should have done this a long time ago. I guess this is what happens once the cameras stop rolling :-) I liked this punchline --> "I" "HAVE" "NO" "CHIPS!" --a reference to There Are Four Lights but it doesn't quite fit in :)(original archive here)

Sev Trek TNG: The picard manoever
I guess this is a dig at the all talk, little action criticism of TNG ;-) I liked the alternate punchline " I'll explain later. Meanwhile, set a course for ROMANCE." but that was a little too esoteric (a callback to a Saturday Night Live skit, Love boat the next generation)(original archive here)

Sev Trek | The next generation
A bad punchline, but it does go to show (no pun intended) that Troi wasn't really appreciated a ton in TNG, and Gene R. needed to be reigned from some of his more silly (and even offensive) ideas...(original archive here)
Star Wars intergalactic language - where's the school???
A little bit of humor from the feeds today. This was a Saturday Night Live skit that was cut for time, but it's so awesome. How do those people far far away understand the bleeps, blops, and ooouuuuuuuaaaaa (my best text impression of Chewbacca)?
Sev TNG - Doctor Pavllovaski is back!
Polaski get so much flack from TNG fans. I actually enjoyed her on screen as the doctor, both as a kid watching TNG for the first time, and now. I like Crusher too, but I guess there is only room for one Chief Medical Officer.(original archive here)
Medical humor...

I came across this comic strip a week or so ago (but of course I forgot to post). It reminded me of my own (sometimes misplaced) nostalgia for older games. They were marvelous for their time, but really hard to go back to these days (unless you are very persistent).
Sev TNG: Red Alert
I somehow think that this is not what Reed had in mind ;-)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: choose a door, any door.
Back in the day this seemed funny (just for the sake of being funny). I think these days (especially with what's been happening in the world) it seems like a good episode of trek in the making... (you know, the whole exploring social and political issues of the day through the lens of scifi)(original archive here)
Sev TNG: Where are the toilets on this ship
The joke works only as a double-entendre (probably doesn't translate well either). I think my two favorite alteranates are: " Does it matter? These uniforms have no zippers." and " You heard me back at Starbase 5: "Does anybody need to go? I'm not stopping once we go to warp..."" (original archive here)
Insanity over nintendo...
I came across last week's gamercat and it made me laugh, and ponder, a bit. Why are nintendo titles generally not available at launch, under-stocked, and over-priced? Even old games for the DS are not cheap (sometimes they are cheaper on ebay used, but not always). What gives?
Sev TNG: space cats!
It's funny, but I had never thought of Spot's gender on the series. The alternate punchline that I would prefer is: THAT cat was a stunt double. (original archive here)
Sev TNG: Parting gift for the Borg
I do wonder what Wesley would have done for the borg, given his 'traveler' abilities and all. This alternate actually made me laugh: I locked him in a closet with Barf and a dribble! (original archive here)
Sev TNG: no sound in space
Well...not that bad. I guess in space no one can hear you scream either :p I did like this alternate though "I don't know, but Industrial Light and Magic gets $18,000 every time it happens!!!"(original archive here)

Sev TNG: Picard the ladies-man
Hmmm... this would seem better if delivered by a Vulcan. Of course, it could have been after the mind-meld with Sarek...so ...potentially explainable. One of the alternates was a little better in my opinion " At least Tryhard's still here! Mine are all either transferred, dead, or whisked off with Q!" (original archive here)
Sev TNG: Free cable
I guess it should be free satellite, not free cable. I prefer the alternates of "Sure beats the pajamas that Star Fleet makes YOU wear!" and "After a few Millennia, you tend to run out of fashion ideas. . ." (original archive here)

Sev TNG: Measly is going to the Academy
I guess this one is for those who didn't like Wesley Crusher. The alternative punchlines were all very mean-spirited toward Wesley, but this one was the one that I liked the best from all of them, and it feels a little more comic-strip-like: Sev Fleet's Insurance Company won't insure the Enterprize while you're on board. Sev TNG: Jazz humor...or not

The Breach came back as an event queue in Star Trek Online last week. This comic sums up exactly how I felt about it. Although to be honest, it's much shorter, and the rewards seem better as compared to the original Breach queue, and I need to get enough Lukari marks to finish off that reputation... (original here)

Somehow I got on the White House's mailing list (must have been some petition I signed at some point), and now I get spam like this. I guess the White House is seriously pushing their new reality show "Presidential", but it faces steep prime-time competition from ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, and El Rey. I think Sharnado probably does better than this new reality show ;-)
Sev Trek: The Voyeur Home
Hey, it's that time-traveling movie about saving the whales... :-) (original archive here)
Sev Trek: The spoof of spock
Kirk should have had more meaningful relationships in his time :-) (original archive here)

From last week tonight (from this past weekend). Everything is better with techno music - even bad lyrics :p
Sev Trek: The spoof of spock
Work Jeopardy (for programmers)
I saw this on facebook the other day. The first thing that came to mind was "What is the UNIX command you run when you quit your job?" hahaha :-)
Politics and the nature of reality
Some current politics..and talk of reality. What is reality? How do we know it's real? Where's Plato and Aristotle when you need them?

Found on Facebook through Simon Ensor. Loved this video introducing the Netherlands to Trump ;-)
Sev Trek: The spoof of spock
A little 'search for Spock' humor... I actually don't remember that movie much, but I guess the enterprise gets destroyed (again) ;-) (original archive here)

A little humor from this weekend's SNL.The thing was pretty funny, but I really disliked the lack of attention to detail. Petros (πέτρος) is a Greek name, whereas if they were going for Russian - which I think they were based on the accent that the Uber driver had - the name should have been Piotr (Пётр).

ROFL. While I like the TWoK uniforms, they are a little too red for my taste :-)(original archive here)

I really don't get the whole craze around the NES classic. I never had an NES (but I've played games on it). I've played enough games on emulators, and granted the keyboard isn't as satisfying as a gamepad, if I felt like playing those games more often I'd go the Sweets route (orange cat here) - just get the original console and a CRT ;-)
Jurassic Trek: Slow Motion Approach, part deux
More poking fun at the intro of the motion picture(original archive here)
Jurassic Trek: Slow motion blackboax
Motion picture innovations (along with the disco inpired uniforms), they had this thing that looked like a giant belt buckle. Seems like a technology fannie-pack (in the American sense of the word) to me :)(original archive here)
Welcome to Cod Cape!
With all the craziness happening in the world now, we need a few moments to laugh a bit. So, from today's news, the department of transportation is apologizing for an error in highway signage:From the local news source (just in case the link goes dead in the future):MassDOT apologized to drivers, tourists, and locals Monday for the misprinted sign, which read “Cod Cape” instead of “Cape
