This year's Google April Fool's joke...or at least one of them, is Google Tulip: using AI to translate plant communication to allow for human-plant communication. It was pretty funny ;-). While watching this yesterday, I also came across Google Wind from a couple of years ago, also from the same Google Netherlands team. The Netherlands team seems to have quite a lot of fun making
Fan Film down!
Seems like another (star trek) fan-film is down...or at least temporarily halted. The Star Trek: Temporal Anomaly fan film seems to be in talks with CBS. Since they started their work before all the "guidelines" came about (mostly because of Axanar, it seems), they were under the impression that they were grandfathered into the non-guideline era. This is the third fan film (after

Figured out how to extricate this from facebook and upload it to YouTube. It's a little inaccurate (some old photos of me where tagged by someone, and I don't often post photos of myself on facebook, so that isn't as accurate as people who post a lot of Fb) - but it's fun to look at anyway. Moros y Christianos, Sagunt 2016
Took some video of the Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians) parade in Sagunto Spain. Here is part 4 of 4 (the longest video) to get a sense of the parade and costuming. It's a little game of thrones, but it looks fun. The festival of Moros y Cristianos represents the capturing of the cities by the Moors, and the subsequent recapturing (reconquista) by Christian armies.
