I love Terry Crews ;-) Now all this game needs is a Jake Peralta recruit haha.I wonder if I need an Xbox One X to run this. I seriously don't see a reason to buy an xbox one X over an xbox one S given my own gaming habits.

Yesterday, at this year's E3 conference, we got new of the next Assassin's Creed. I guess the rumors (or wild wishes?) from some fans came true: Old Egypt (looks like Roman times) is now the setting of the next game which will chronicle the beginning of the brotherhood. Can't wait! Wonder if it will have an Ancient Aliens vibe ;-)

Recently I completed the game Syndicate on the xbox 360 (continuing to make my way though my backlog of games) :-). The game is based on the game which has the similar name from a little over 20 years ago, by developed BullFrog. The original syndicate game was a DOS and MacOS game (I am pretty sure it was on the Amiga as well) where the player started their own corporation with the aim
Battlefield 4 | Done!

The other day I wrapped up the campaign part of Battlefield 4 (which is really the only part of most games I play). I was originally thinking that it would pick up from Battlefield 3, but this game seems to be (more or less) self contained. With the exception of meeting "dima" in one of the stages in the middle part of the game. Dima being one of the characters involved in the previous
Battlefield 3 | Done
Saturday, Apr 22 2017 01:00 | Action, Battlefield, CallOfDuty, Entertainment, video games, VideoGames, XBOX
Once I finished off Max Payne 3, I dove deeply into another game of a similar genre, Battlefield 3. The campaign side of the game (which is basically what I play since I am not a networked player for most things) was rather short comparative to other games, but if I were to compare the game to games of the same genre (such as the previous two Battlefield games I played and the Call of Duty games
Max Payne 3 | Done!
A week or so ago I completed Max Payne 3, the most recent game in the Max Payne series of games. This game trades in the comic book feel of the first two games for a more new (or trendy?" cinematic feel with game cutscenes and voice over by none other than Max himself. The game starts off with Max (at the end of the game) doing some introspection, a "how the hell did I get here?" type of
Mass Effect Andromeda is here
Need to finish my 360 backlog so I can get an Xbox one start playing these ;-)
Max Payne 2 | Done!
Continuing on the theme of going through video games that I've wanted to play (but haven't), the next game that I completed was Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. This game was originally released on the original xbox (you know, the one before the xbox 360), and it is backward compatible on the 360, so I decided to take it for a spin. [SPOILERS]The story of Max Payne 2 picks up a little
Battlefield Hardline | Done!
Well, this game didn't take all that long to complete the campaign side of the game! What do I do in-between class stuff? Obviously play games ;-) This was my first foray into a Battlefield game. Even though I have Battlefield 3 and 4, I was intrigued by the cop mechanic where you can arrest people instead of blowing them to bits, which really gave you an incentive to play the game in
Wolfenstein: the New Order | Done!

Compared to how long it took me to finish Bully, Wolfenstein: the new order on the xbox 360 took almost no time to complete. The game is a fast-paced first person shooter (action obviously) which takes place in an alternative 1960 timeline in which Nazi Germany has won World War II and has gone on to become the super power of the planet. It is a bit like the TV show the man in the high
Bully (Scholarship Edition) | Done
Well...it took about a year but it is done! I had started Bully (a game which my friend Rob gave me before he left for lands far far away) last year just before classes started (EDDE 804 to be more specific). Between school projects, work projects, side projects, and everything else, this game fell by the wayside for the most part; until this holiday when I had some more time to just finish
Xbox year-in-review, now with a crest!
With all of the social media sites doing year-in-review infographics from the data that they've collected from you over the period of the year, I thought I would check out xbox to see what sort of year-in-review they have in store. This year, along with the statistics that they provided me with, I got my own - customized and customizable gamer crest (presumably based on the games that I play).

A little gamercat humor for you :-). While playing Star Trek Online I don't often think of achievements (since my achievements/medals aren't visible anywhere). This past week though I started playing Bully again on my xbox and I started wondering what achievements exist, and what I need to do to get them :-)

Another interesting game coming out soon. I have the original TitanFall in my collection of games that I have yet to play, but the trailer makes it look promising ;-) Maybe once I am done with Bully on the xbox I'll pick up Titanfall. I still have loads of time before I get an xbox one LOL. No rush.
Dishonored 2 looks interesting!
The trailer for Dishonored 2 looks pretty interesting! The interesting games for xbox one keep piling up - I wonder if I can make it to the end of dissertation to buy one ;-)

Nice! There is a follow up...of some sort, for the game Watchdogs. It seems that this game is not following the story of Aidan Pierce, the protagonist of the first Watchdogs. It also isn't taking place in Chicago, but rather it takes place in San Fransisco. I think I'll have a ton of games to play once I am done dissertating if this keeps up ;-)
Black Ops II | Done
I am starting to like to Call of Duty franchise :-) I have not played their World War II games, mostly because I don't like that era for this type of game, but who knows, once I am done with whatever I can play on my xbox 360 from this series, I might go back and revisit the first 3 CoD games (plus world at war), which take place in WWII.Anyway, In Call of Duty Black Ops II story is told partly

I guess I needed a little entertainment this semester so I couldn't give up all gaming ;-) A while back I got a good deal on Call of Duty Black Ops and Black Ops II so I ended up starting to play Black Ops a few weeks ago during the winter break, before the semester started.Having finished 4 other Call of Duty games, the mechanics of this game felt pretty familiar. Well lookie here! Seems like Microsoft has also put out a "year in review" for people who play games on xbox (I wonder if it also counts xbox live on Windows). Seems like I spent a lot of time playing games in 2015 (to balance out the hard work of studying for my doctorate no doubt). It does seem like my friends (the 3 that I have on xbox live) don't play a ton of games. Maybe

While we still have a few more weeks left in 2015, and I probably will finish one more book (the one I have in progress and listening to during my commutes these days), this is a mostly accurate view of my 2015 reading list. One year I made my goal to read 30 books in a year - failed it. Since then I've decided to keep it simple and focus on reading a book a month. If I go over that

It seems like it took a while to finish this game, but it was a pretty good game (so no complaints here). Last I left Agent 47 he was being laid to rest as and the FBI director was pretty pleased with himself that he got Dianna to turn and get 47 captured (or killed). The game ended with a faint heartbeat that kicked in once Dianna placed his two signature weapons (his Ballers) in his hands.I

One of my favorite game series is the Metal Gear franchise. Even though I haven't played all games, because some seem to be Playstation Exclusives, like Metal Gear: Solid (PS1) and Metal Gear 4 (PS3), I've played enough to get the gist of the story - which is thoroughly confusing. Here is a quick recap to help put the story in order for other fans of the franchise.

Well, I've finished the last Xbox360 Assassin's Creed (that I know of): Assassin's Creed: Rogue! From what I can see, Assassin's Creed: Unity, and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate are only on next-gen consoles (xbox one and PS4) and PC so it will be a while before I play those. While I could play then now on a PC, I prefer to leave the PC for the two MMORPGs that I play (Star Trek: Online,

I had actually bought the xbox disc (at a steep discount) back at Christmas, but I had not activated my xbox live subscription (school and all), so I never really got to play Defiance on my xbox. Once it went free-to-play (or at least f2p was announced for PS3
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty | Done
A few weeks ago I finally completed the last game in the Metal Gear HD Collection, and that game was Metal Gear 2: Sons of Liberty. I suppose that the HD collection also include Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge, but since you have to boot up MGS3 to play them I am not counting them as part of the "HD" collection. Prior to playing it more recently, I had started playing MGS2 when it originally

I wasn't really paying attention to those types of games for three reason: lots of work, lots of school, and no windows PC. A few weeks back I was debating what game to start next, games being the interactive equivalent of that TV show that you love to follow along with. I thought that it would be a good idea to get into Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which I got for a cheap price last Christmas on xbox live (I think it was $7). With the storms that have hit over the past week came school closings, and with school closings came a little extra time on my hands. I did spend a considerable amount of this extra time catching forward with my readings for my research methods course, but I guess I also used the time "wisely" to complete another game on the xbox. Just before 2014 is done I managed to make my way through Hitman: Blood Money, the last game in the Hitman HD Trilogy that I bought at the end of 2013. I think part of the reason that I really got through this game quickly was because I played it on Normal (7 saves, regular AI), but still I was mostly playing for the storyline and not the achievements which makes this sort of a speedrun for me.
Hitman Contracts | Done
Well, that didn't take long! I guess it was a combination of having the holidays, and playing this game on normal mode that made it seem like a breeze. Hitman: Contracts is the second game in the Hitman Trilogy HD collection, and the third in the series as a whole. It still follows Agent 47 around his contracted killings work. I think this game was a bit of an improvement over Hitman 2
Hitman 2 | Done
About a year ago I bought the Hitman Trilogy HD for the xbox 360. It was a good deal and it seemed that Hitman was one of those games that many people have played and that people know about, so it was something that I should be playing to gain at least a passing familiarity with it. The trilogy did not include the original Hitman: Code 47 (which I guess was a Windows-only) release so I

[spoiler alert] It's been a few weeks since I finished Gears of War: Judgement, but with the end of the semester, and other stuff, it's been not easy to sit down and write a few thoughts about the game ;-)This game is a prequel to the Gears of War series of games that I've played before. This game takes place through flashbacks as each character is called upon to provide testimony for chargers of dereliction

I've been looking forward to this game since I heard about it last year, however I only bought the thing this past August when it came out for xbox, the price was right, and it included the Reaper of Souls expansion. A couple of weekends ago I finished Bioshock Infinite (woot!). I had begun the game a little before I went off on summer vacation (so there was a big lag between when I started and when I finished), but it wasn't all that difficult to get back back in the groove once I got back from Greece. Right before classes started a few weeks ago I decided to start playing Halo 4. Given the amount of games I ended up getting on Black Friday last year it was a bit tough to decide what to play next, but I thought that since the next Halo isn't coming for a while (and probably will only be on xbox one), this seemed like a good game to play for the story. This was the first Halo game I've played on the

So, from previous games in the series, we know that the world has gone to hell in a hand basket. Just in time to end my holiday break and get back work, I completed Assassin's Creed 4! I ended up getting AC4, like my previous 2 AC games, on Amazon.com's Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for a reduced price. I could have waited a few more months to get the game at less than half the price (factoring in a used cost), but I got it new for $30. Not too bad!I liked this game quite a lot both

Last spring when Microsoft had sales on their xbox live store, one of the daily deals was Modern Warfare. All three were on for sale, but th first two we're $10 a piece while the third one was more like $25 or $39. It's not often that I go back to older xbox games (original xbox) to play a game that doesn't exist on the 360, but Halo 2 was an exception. I had started off with Halo 3, which was a little confusing (given that I didn't have the storyline established), moved on ODST and then to the prequel (Halo: Reach), which gave me some more information, and then to the Anniversary remaster. For reviews of those

Woot! I was able to complete the Mass Effect Trilogy before going on vacation! :-) First the Good points about the game. The character I had fun mass effect 2 transferred over into mass effect 3. NICE! I think I started playing as a level 25. I am not sure but I think I decided to pick the infiltrator class again. This was pretty nifty. The story line and the direction was pretty awesome as well.
Mass effect 2 | done!
This past weekend I completed mass effect 2 for the Xbox. The game, amazingly enough did not take that long to complete. I did go through enough missions to make sure that I got the loyalty of all of my crew members and had enough raw materials to upgrade the weapons and armor of the Normandy, but that did not seem to take long. Heck, I even completed the scientific or relic missions that I got through

This isn't new news, but while I was blogging about other things, I decided to mention this as well ;-)A short while back I finished off Fable II. That said, I finished fable II pretty quickly, all things considered, and I am still stuck on MGS Portable Ops.In any case,

Last December (or was it last summer?) I bought the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection which came with MGS 2, MGS 3, MGS: Peacewalker, and the original 3 (top-down) Metal Gears. Oddly enough, there was no Metal Gear Solid (PS1 title) included in this.I decided to play the games chronologically, starting with the game that was furthest in the past, and that was Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The
Red Dead Redemption | Complete
[Spoilers] A week of so ago I completed Red Dead Redemption on the XBox. This was a game that I had borrowed from a friend. I had heard quite a lot of good things about it, but - honestly - the cover art really didn't sell the game for me (enough to buy it with my own cash) - so I traded with a friend. They do say don't judge a book by its cover, and I guess this holds true for video games

Well, this one crept up on me. OpenFeint, a cross-platform social network for gaming is closing its doors in a few weeks. Initially the pitch was global leaderboards for games, something that I really didn't care for much in my iPod touch days...but then came the achievement badges for games and that
With the release of Halo 4 everyone seems to be talking about it. In one of the video game podcasts that I listen to there was mention of the Anniversary edition of Halo which contains hidden terminals that augment to story (give you some background) and if you've watched all of the terminal videos (supposedly) your enjoyment of Halo 4 will be greater. I did, just by accident, find one of
Halo forward unto dawn is awesome!
OK, if you weren't watching before, you should watch this before picking up a copy of Halo 4. Forward unto dawn is not a prequel (I don't think), but it gives people a little more information about the Halo universe. As someone who's played most Halo games, and have read more Halo books, this was certainly an interesting live action show. I am not sure what it cost to make this, but I would certainly

Well, this past weekend I slogged through stranglehold, and in all honesty it was just to get it done! In all honesty, I am not sure how many achievements I got, probably
Countdown to Halo 4!
I came across this live action launch trailer for Halo 4 the other day. It's pretty interesting, and it makes me wonder if, as part of Halo 4, we will see more flashbacks from the Master Chief's past. Having read all Halo novels up to this point, I know what has transpired (at least from a novelization point of view) up to this point and how Master Chief became Master Chief. As with
Gears of War 2 | Done
Well, that didn't take long ;-) 20 days after I started Gears of War 2, it's now complete! I got Gears of War 2 as part of the Gears of War Triple Pack last Christmas (I've been working my way through other games first), and upon completing the original, this one was next in my xbox play queue. The game picks up at the end of the first Gears of War, where Delta squad comes back to deal some more punishment

Another game completed this past week was Gears of War. I had bought the Gears of War triple pack back in December, and I had started the game, completing Act 1 back then, but I put it aside, and didn't return up to now. I am not sure if it's because I played the game on Casual and not Hardcore, but the game seemed rather short! In totality it seemed like the game had 5 Acts, which I was

After a very, very long time, I was able to get back into the Castlevania groove and complete Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the xbox. If you are reading this I assume you've played

Wow! That was such a short game! This past weekend I had an opportunity to continue on with Too Human and compete the game. OK, "complete" may not be the word here (considering that people who "complete the game might go through every nook and crannie of the game to collected everything the game has to offer) but I did get to the end, beat the final boss and saw the final cinematic sequence. While I

Man, that was a lengthy game! I guess any open world game, such as L.A. Noire, is bound to be lengthy since you have the ability to explore the world at your own leisure. Having played and finished the game I think that it is indeed a 5-star game! (now,
Halo: CE | complete
This last weekend I went through and I really spent some time with the anniversary edition of Halo: Combat Evolved. I really wanted to finish the story arc and start Halo 2 (which amazingly seems to run without any issues on the Xbox 360). The story of Halo seemed quite interesting, and (much to my annoyance) the final sequence was one where you had to drive a warthog (which I hate driving) with

There is a Lord of Shadows 2 coming out, from the looks of it, and Gabriel seems to be the bad guy?! I guess I need to get on it and complete the original Castlevania: Lord of Shadows (which I put aside for Halo) and see what happens!

Άλλο ένα trailer απο το Ε3. Αυτή την φορά για το Halo 4. Ακόμα παίζω το Halo: CE Anniversary και θέλω να τελειώσω το Halo 2, αλλά έχω χρόνο ως τον Οκτώβρη ;-)Get More: GameTrailers.com, Halo 4 - E3 2012: Debut Gameplay HD, PC Games, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Assassin's Creed III :: more trailers
Δεν μπορωωωω, δεν μπορώ να περιμένωωωωωωω! :-) Θα είναι γαμάτο αυτό το παιχνίδι!Τα trailer είναι από το φετινό Ε3.
One of the used games that I got last Christmas, and which I finally completed, was Crackdown. It wasn't on top of my list, but since I have a friend who wants to revisit it, I thought I'd better finish it so I can loan it out :-) The main idea of the game is that there are three crime syndicates in Pacific City, and you as the real bad-ass law enforcement office (from "the agency") are tasked
Halo 3: ODST | Done!
Once I completed Halo: Reach I decided to play through Halo 3: OSDT, just to keep the story in that Universe going (plus I was really engrossed in the mythology of Halo). The game was rated for 4 hours of play, which means that I must really stink because it took me several days of playing this game in order to complete it ;-)Initially I was a little put off that the game only took place in New
Halo: Reach | done
This past weekend I spent some time wrapping up Halo: Reach. This was a game that came with my Xbox last Thanksgiving (Black Friday deal). To be honest, I don't know how high on my list game would have been had it not come with my console, but I am sure glad it did! I had a great time with it.When I first started playing it (around Christmas break), I was sort of into it. I was following
Back to Resident Evil
I never owned a Playstation 1, but I did have a friend who did back then. Back then I was also more into platform games like Super Mario, or beat-em-ups like Street Fighter, not so much into the survival horror game genre. I did own Alone in the Dark for my Mac, which I now realize was a survival horror game ;-)In any case, having played the demo of Resident Evil 5 on my xbox, and having listened
Marvel Ultimate Alliance | Done
This past weekend, after what seemed to be a long long time (but actually wasn't all that long), I finally beat Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. You know, it wasn't a bad game. I got it used for $7, and I didn't know what to make of it. I always try to avoid dungeon crawlers, despite the fact that I end up liking them in the end. The same was true this time around - I bought the game
Assassin's Creed Revelations | done
This past weekend I finished Assassin's Creed Revalations (with 69% synchronization), and as was expected, it ended in a cliffhanger... #facepalm. I know that the series is episodic, and I really didn't expect to see Desmond really do something much in today's world...and yes the game revealed a lot about Altaïr and Ezio, and the Assassins...and Desmond's past; but I am left wanting more of this
Cost of video games
Last week seemed to be the week of the PS Vita as it was discussed on pretty much every single podcast I listen to (and some I don't listen to!) The main thing that the tech people discussed was not the capability of the device (because it seems to be quite capable) but rather the relevancy of the device. In a world were iPhones, iPads and Android devices (and now Microsoft with Windows Phone
Syndicate on the xbox - return of a classic!
Classic SyndicateThis past week I came across a mention of the game Syndicate for the xbox 360 (and PS3 and PC obviously). Back in the day, I remember playing the original on my friend's Amiga (and not liking it much), but as soon as I got my own computer (a Performa running System 7.5.3) and I got over the learning curve of the game I went on to complete it. As far as I
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - 50% sync
This past weekend I got more gaming in that other weekends (mostly because most of my other work is done...except I've been procrastinating on one project...more on that later). I ended up going a but past the 50% sync on Assassin's Creed Revelations having retrieved 2 (out of 5) Masayf Discs, cleaned up all of the templar dens (and getting all of my assassin recruits trained to some level)
Assassins Creed Revelations - some initial thoughts
This past weekend I cracked open the case which contained Assassin's Creed Revelations and played it on my xbox- yay! Another Assassin's creed game! I was really interested to find out what happened after the events of Brotherhood!I clocked in a couple if hours finishing off a couple of sequences. My first impression is favorable - Constantinople seems pretty nice and there is actual Greek spoken (with
Revelations is here!
I was looking at my amazon gift points the other day and I noticed that I had enough to buy& Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow as used games (heck even the new price for Assassin's creed isn't bad now that a few months have passed since its release!)While I hate leaving Halo Reach, Half-Life 2, and Gears of War in the middle, I just can't resist Assassin's
Copy-to-hard drive fail...
The weekend before last I decided to use my massive hard drive to its full potential, and also clean up some of my living room by copying over my xbox games from disc to hard drive. I thought that by copying the games to disc would just allow me to run them from the hard drive, instead of the game disc, and I would be able to file my games away so that they are not in the way. It took several
Fable III done...a bit anti-climactic...
This past weekend I finished off Fable III. All things considered it was an interesting button smashing game, but the ending was a but anti-climactic. I ended up being able to save the kingdom, but there were a lot of casualties because I decided to keep most of my promises and I ended up coming up on the side of Good. If anything in this game, you learn that you cannot please everyone
Think of the children!!!
Yesterday I decided to play a bit of Fable III so I can move the story along. I had gotten to the revolution part where I depose my evil older brother Logan...but I guess the joke was on me since Theresa (the spirit that came to my character and said I'd be a hero) had also advised him that the great darkness is coming to Albion. He could have been a benevolent rules but had a greater chance of being
Thoughts on the new xbox interface
When I came home yesterday I fired up my xbox 360 to get the new OS update that gives me the Metro style UI. In the grand scheme of things I do like it. I think it's high time that Microsoft looked at its product offerings and designed some consistency (or at least a common theme) across its services. The desktop and Window metaphor is getting a bit stale - it's still useful, but not in all contexts
What's next, for gaming?
Now that Alone in the Dark is done, I am wondering what game I should pour my energy and attention into... I couldn't decide, so I put in my Orange Box disc and I started playing Half-Life 2 (the original) and Portal. The graphics do seem a bit dated, but considering that I completely missed both games when they first came out, it doesn't bother me as much. Half-Life 2 seems
Alone in the Dark | done!
Yesterday evening I decided to try and finish off Alone in the Dark, seeing that I was on Episode 8 Scene 2 and I was really close. Much to my dislike there was yet another driving sequence involved...this time it was timed - I suppose that the first one was also timed in that if you didn't move quickly enough you'd be swallowed up by the abyss...In any case, after a few tries I decided
Να και το νέο xbox…
Red Ringed! (or Red Rung?)
Well, I guess the inevitable happened last night. I powered up my xbox 360, put in Alone in the Dark (I am close to the end, so I decided to just keep going) and the unit froze a few second into the game. It has been freezing the past few days but it kept coming back. In any case. I turned it off, turned it back on again, and this time it froze on the xbox bootup screen... Turned it off
Alpha Protocol - Some final thoughts
I took opportunity of daylight savings (or whatever the heck it's called in November) to get an extra hour of game play in and finish up Alpha Protocol for the xbox360. I honestly don't remember what setting I started playing the game on (maybe easy?) but the game didn't take that long to finish (at least compared to other games).XPlay didn't give the game that great of a review, it was only
Alpha Protocol - some initial thought
With yet another driving scene in Alone in the Dark, I decided to put this game aside and try my hand at Alpha Protocol, another game that I got in the used bin for less than $15 this past summer. While Alone in the Dark does allow me to skip that driving scene and go to the next part of the game (perhaps this being a silent acknowledgement that some of the game mechanics don't work
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - the Hookblade
Seems like there will be another weapon in Ezio's arsenal in this episode :-)
Alone in the dark: the bad camera work!
The next game I decided to tackle Alone in the Dark. I guess a sense of nostalgia was the main cultprit for this decision having played the original Alone in the Dark on my Performa 635CD! Having not played Alone in the Dark 2 and Alone in the Dark 3 I found myself a little lost in the beginning, but who cares? I think that the story will probably explain itself once it gets underway. The main problem
Thoughts on Quantum of Solace
It's been a while since I finished Quantum of Solace on the XBOX, so this mini review (and thoughts about the game) is a tad bit late - but given that the game has been out for a while it's quite alright ;-)The thing that really struck me about this game as how short it was in comparison to other FPS games that I've played on the XBOX. I think that it only took me a few weeks to finish (so based on
Assassin's Creed Recap
I seriously love the Assassin's Creed Universe, I can't wait for Revelations!Perhaps I should get the two PSP games in the meantime ;-)
Weekend end game update: zombies, zombies and more ugly things
Apprentice Rank InsigniaThis weekend has been a video game bonanza (and lots of video game relate frustration, but I guess this is what they term "good stress"). This past weekend I started off with Halo 3, in which I continued the same mission I've been on for the past 2 weeks...the damned mission to "find cortana." I have to say that this level has been the most frustrating Halo level ever
Splinter Cell: Conviction - some thoughts [spoilers]
It's been a couple of weeks since I completed the single player missions on Splinter Cell: Conviction (I guess I have to find someone to do co-op missions with now, lol). My overall impression of the game is fairly positive. I really liked the game play, it was reminiscent of previous Splinter Cell games, but it did manage to push the envelope a tad bit further (in a good way). The
Splinter Cell: Double Agent thoughts
Over the weekend I finished Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the XBox 360. It was quite an interesting game, and the first "real" Splinter Cell that I played since the original. There was a Splinter Cell: Essentials which I bought (played and finished) for the PSP, but that seemed to be more of a recap of the whole series in anticipation of Splinter Cell: Conviction. Most of the game was enjoyable,
Prince of Persian :: Completed! [Spoilers]
This past weekend I ended up finishing Prince of Persia for the xbox 360. I remember playing my first Prince of Persia game on my godmother's 286 running DOS 3 (I think) and Windows 3 for workgroups (wow!). Back then, as this time around, I ended up killing the prince countless times! It's a good thing that I had Elika around (this time) to save me from myself. When I got Prince of Persia:
Bioshock 2 | completed! [spoilers]
One of the games that I bought used (or cheap) over the Christmas break was Bioshock 2. Having played, and really enjoyed, the original Bioshock I deviced to get this game. I also decided to focus on this game (and Prince of Persia) over my vacation as I was interested in learning what happened to Rapture after the events of Bioshock.Bioshock 2 was quite an engaging game. The game mechanics were quite
Bioshock - some thoughts (and Spoilers)
Last week I had the opportunity to finish off the original Bioshock. Having heard a lot about it when it first came out I borrowed the game from one of my friends. I have to say that this is the first game that really had me on the edge of my seat when I first started to play it - I avoided playing it at night or before bed because I would probably wake up in sweat thinking that a splicer
Batman Arkham Asylum - some thoughts (Spoilers)
Last week while on vacation I plowed through Batman Arkham Asylum. I was really surprised to finish the game while I was I was only showing a 66% completion rate (I guess I should have read the manual to really know what that percentage actually meant!).In any case, I have to say that once I finished the game and I saw a container of Titan along with the Scarecrow coming up from the water
Assassin's Creed II thoughts
Last weekend I finished off Assassin's Creed II. I had completed most of the game, I just needed to go to Rome and take care of business there before the official end of the game. I liked the ending of the game, but I found the final boss (Borgia) a bit easy when you compare him to Al Mualim from the original Assassin's Creed. I was also surprised that Ezio did not take care of Borgia to begin with,
Assassin's Creed II Weekend
This past weekend was a bit of an overdose on Assassin's Creed II - even though I did not spend the whole weekend playing it! The game just sucked me in! I have to say that it is definitely an improvement over the first Assassin's Creed - which I loved - and I just realized that even though I've put in 20 hours playing this game (over the past couple of weeks), I still have a long way to go!
Assassin's Creede | Complete!
Well, this past weekend, after quite a few weeks of late nights and weekend game play, I completed the first Assassin's Creed for the XBOX. I'd heard a lot about this game, both on 1up and on G4 when it first came out, and I guess the game was a success because Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed Botherhood are already out for consoles! Not to mention of course the Nintendo DS, the PSP and the
