The most recent game I finished (right before I headed off to the annual MTA conference the past two days) was Zombi on the XBOX One. This was originally a WiiU game (a horror game on the Nintendo???) but it made its way to the xbox a few years later. It's an ubisoft production and it's something I got for "free" by subscribing to Gold (since my membership is expiring soon I thought I

Well...I guess that's the end of that! Miitomo has announced in via their app that Miitomo will go offline and never come back in May. For the past couple of years this quirky social network has kept us company. The idea behind it was that people would customize a Mii (which Nintendo has also slowly walked away from in their newest console, the Switch) and through those Miis you could interact

Insanity over nintendo...
I came across last week's gamercat and it made me laugh, and ponder, a bit. Why are nintendo titles generally not available at launch, under-stocked, and over-priced? Even old games for the DS are not cheap (sometimes they are cheaper on ebay used, but not always). What gives?
How to get rid of Magikarp...
From last week's (or from two weeks ago?) Gamercat - how to get rid of your Magikarp... I do wonder if anyone is still playing that game (Magikarp jump). I found it dull and repetitive.

One of the games I forgot to look for a trailer for last week was Metroid: Samus Returns, which is a modern version of Metroid II which came out in 1992 (25 years ago!!!) for the original GameBoy. A good friend of mine had this game (and had beat it). As was common back then, we traded game cartridges and I tried to beat this game by starting at the beginning, but I found it frustrating.

I really don't get the whole craze around the NES classic. I never had an NES (but I've played games on it). I've played enough games on emulators, and granted the keyboard isn't as satisfying as a gamepad, if I felt like playing those games more often I'd go the Sweets route (orange cat here) - just get the original console and a CRT ;-)

The Wii U sort of reminds me a bit of the
