Review: Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Star Trek: Starfleet Academy by Mike Johnson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

[SPOILERS] Quite an interesting adventure that kickstarts at least 2 new groups of crews in the Kelvin-timeline of Star Trek. I'd read more of this. The comic starts off with the TOS crew, when they were in their academy days (well Kirk, Spock, and Uhura...and a little bit of Chekov), but it really focuses mostly a new group of cadets who are competing in an academic competition between Starfleet Academy and the Vulcan, Andorian, and other science academies We get a little history lesson - why Starfleet Academy was created, and this group of cadets solves a 100-year-old mystery (the disappearance of the NX-05), which at the end of this back.  So, there could be two comics spawning from this: the careers of these cadets once they graduate, and the (now displaced) crew of the NX-05 working cope with their new time and environment.
