The Butcher of Anderson Station by James S.A. CoreyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Quite an interesting background story for Fred. I don't remember if I saw this on the TV show, I guess I need to rewatch. Sets up an interesting juxtaposition between Earth/Mars and the Belters, and provides some history for the Belters. View all my reviews

Hey! It's Eurovision time again! Just like in previous years it crept up on me. This year both Greece and Cyprus are in, and here are their respective songs. Both songs are very eurovision-y. Don't get me wrong, I like pop songs, but they seem to lack a national character. English has taken over as the language of communication, there isn't even a refrain in another languageThis
Sev Trek: Catching Quirk

Drive by James S.A. CoreyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars Interesting short novella about the person who developed the propulsion systems used in this universe (and who is mentioned in passing in the first novel). Pretty good for a world-building - I hope there is more later on talking about the history of this verse and how the belt became the belt. View all my reviews

Review: The Churn
The Churn by James S.A. CoreyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars Interesting novella set in the Expanse universe about the criminal elements seen on Earth at the time that the expanse takes place. Some interesting stories which show elements of day to day life outside of the squeaky clean offices of the UN. Most of the book is about people not really mentioned in the regular books, but at the end Amos

The Architecture of Productive Learning Networks by Lucila CarvalhoMy rating: 3 of 5 starsI'd give it 3.5 stars if GoodReads would allow it. This is an interesting book on case studies (essentially) on how people have implemented Networked Learning in their various environments. Some examples might resonate with you, and others might be too alien. Overall I think it's a good idea book. Some chapters

The top song for this week seems to be the same as a few weeks ago...so let's bump down to #3Te Regalo by Ulices Chaidez y Sus PlebesVerdict: Definitely an acquired taste (sort of how certain Greek music is an acquired taste if you haven't grown up listening to it :-) )
