Awwww Nintendo! Your algorithms remembered my birthday! Even though no human was directly involved I am touched ;-). On another note, feels odd to be sharing a birthrate with a current Pope (fact courtesy of Google).

Invasion of the MOOCs: The Promise and Perils of Massive Open Online Courses by Steven D. KrauseMy rating: 4 of 5 stars This was an interesting collection of essays by people (who I think) met through an xMOOC (EDCMOOC) and decided to put their experiences together. It was interesting to take a slice of MOOC history and read some initial reactions to this phenomenon. Although, calling EDCMOOC
Star Trek TCTU ideas (part I)
Bring these back ;-)The other day I was thinking back to the 1990s and early 2000s when we had two or three star trek series going on at the same time. Man, that was entertaining ;-). The Disturbing History of the Suburbs
An interesting bit of American history from College Humor (via Alec Couros)
I guess the year-in-review engines have started early this year for various social media platforms. Earlier today I got a link for my Year-in-Review for Pocket. What's odd is that because of various projects I've been working on I didn't think I did all that much reading on Pocket. I guess I did more reading than I thought I did...
Sev TNG: Dr. Polaski joins the crew
I do wonder if there is a universe there (or a book series?) where Polaski and Crusher meet and collaborate...(original archive here)
