Burger King's chocolate whopper
As April Fool's jokes go, this is so bad that it's good. I like the building of burger through sweet materials but I can't imagine eating this.Here is the materials video:
I must have watched this one at least 5 times already - pretty funny! Need a Gyro API soon ;-) Yes, this is another April Fool's joke.
Google's bad joke detector
More April Foolin' - with Google's Bad Joke Detector (seriously saves space!)
Only in Japan! (and for April Fools) :-)
The New T-Mobile Sidekick!
Continuing with the April Fool's parade, I actually had a good laugh at this one. The Sidekick was T-Mobile's brand for the Danger Hiptop (nice device, needs a comeback!), which is what this ad/fake product is referencing. That said, any fans of Get Smart will also appreciate the shoe-phone :-)
Today is a good day to learn Klingon!
Well...April Fool's is here, and Think Geek has not disappointed! I think I'll space these things out over the next week, but here is what caught my eye first: Klingon fridge magnets!
Καλό μήνα! - καλό τον απρίλη!
Καλό μας μήνα!Πάει λοιπόν ο μάρτης! Ήρθε ο απρίλης με το πάσχα - που ευχόμαι να αναστήσει την διατριβή μου και το βάψιμο της πολυκατοικίας. Να δούμε τι άλλα καλά θα φέρει ο μήνας... Εσείς τι περιμένετε;

The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years: From The Next Generation to J. J. Abrams: The Complete, Uncensored, and Unauthorized Oral History of Star Trek by Mark A. AltmanMy rating: 4 of 5 stars Interesting read for the history of TNG through the Kelvin-timeline movies. There was also a little bi in here about pop-culture influences of Star Trek, and a nod to fan films. For the first book

Turnaround by Peter DavidMy rating: 3 of 5 stars I guess this was New Frontier's version of a Mirror Universe cross-over. I've read some New Frontiers books in the past but I am not as familiar with the characters that were on the TV shows. Despite this, the story wasn't that bad if you can deal with the feeling that you are coming to a story part-way through a series. I guess I need to
Sev Trek: Cue Harassment
A bit of a silly punchline. My preferred punchline is an alternate "Don't worry, I've been bothering Schidzo and Gainweight too!" that refers to Q's annoying of Janeway and Sisko :-)(original archive here)
