MicroSIMs, how fast will they be adopted?

So....
Leaks of Apple's upcoming iPhone are out. I wonder if that is the final hardware design, or if this is just an engineering version to check out and test the main features of the phone. One of the notable things about this version of the phone (dubbed the iPhone HD) is its use of a MicroSIM, the same type of SIM that is being used in the iPad.
Now there are adapters to convert this microSIM to a regular-sized mini-SIM however that is not what concerns me. I don't really care about taking my at&t SIM out of my iPhone and putting it into another phone. There are adapters for that (not that I phone-switch that often). What I am concerned with is going off on vacation or something and getting a local prepaid SIM - all of which are mini-SIMs, not microSIMs. This effectively means that I can't use my handset (yes there is the whole SIM-lock thing, which is BS, but there are hacks around that).
By using the microSIM apple has effectively SIM-locked the phone by using a hardware means (locked by virtue of scarcity). I do wonder when HTC, Nokia, SonyEricsson, and the rest of the gang are going to start creating phones with microSIM capability so that carriers will start carrying microSIMs in lieu of the standard mini SIM.

No, No, the site didn't go down, I just decided to stop playing the game!
I started playing this game about a year ago (I think), I got several jobs, I participated in the liberation of e-Greece from e-Turkey (or is it e-Ottoman Empire?), I ran for elections (and lost), got a number of awards for being a hard worker and a super soldier and made the rank of General (woohoo!). I was going to keep playing until I reached the rank of Field Marshall - but I got bored.
The fact of the matter is that this game has little to offer, other than logging in once a day, every day, to click on a 3 buttons:
1. Work
2. Train in the military
3. Fight a battle
If you miss a day, you may be fired from your fake job which gives you fake money, with which you buy fake bread to sustain yourself ;-) I've missed more than a day and my fake boss hasn't fired me yet LOL. The point is that this game has little to draw me in. My character is like a whining tomagotchi character - feed me or else I will die, or pet me or I'll pout and die of sadness. Bleh!
I think the concept of the game is pretty good - an MMORPG based around real life countries (as a start) is pretty good, but there's got to be something more that draws you into the game, than just not wanting your character to die or get fired.
So, I bid adieu to eRepublik, and let my character Aris Komninos die of malnutrition.

Η αλήθεια είναι πως φέτος, όσο και πέρισι, το Πάσχα ήρθε και δεν το πήρα χαμπάρι. Αμά δεν ήταν η μπλογκόσφαιρα, η twitterορσφαιρα και το facebook μάλλον θα ερχόταν καλοκαίρι και θ' αναρωτιόμουν που πήγε το Πάσχα.
Η αλήθεια είναι πως όταν ήμουν μικρός, όσο μεγάλονα στην Ελλάδα, ήταν πιο ευκολο να ξέρεις το πότε πέφτει το πάσχα. Είχαμε «ρεπό» από το σχολείο, την Μεγάλη Παρασκευή μαζεύαμε λουλούδια για τον Επιτάφιο, και κάθε βράδυ πηγαίναμε στην εκκλησία. Η αλήθεια είναι πως σε γενικές γραμμές δεν είμαι και τόσο θρήσκιο άτομο, αλλά στην Εκκλησία πήγαινα γιατί ήσουν μέλλος μιας κοινώτητας που την έδενε, κάτι κοινό.
Η αλήθεια στο εξωτερικό είναι πως αυτή η κοινώτητα δεν υπάρχει, ή τουλάχιστον δεν υπάρχει σε μια αναγωρήσιμη μορφή (κατά την απόψη μου φυσικά). Θα μπορούσα να πάω στην Εκκλησία μετά την δουλειά αυτή την περασμένη Μεγάλη Εβδομάδα, αλλά όταν φεύγεις το πρωί στις 7 και επιστρέφεις στις 18:30, ποιός θέλει να βγεί έξω; Και το άλλο είναι πως οι κοινώτητα δεν είναι το ίδιο. Δεν βλέπεις για παράδειγμα τον γείτονα σου στην εκκλησία ή τον συμμαθητή σου, αλλά κάποιον άγνωστο. Πάς πιό πολύ για τον εκκλησιαστικό σκοπό στην εκκλησία. Φυσικά αυτοί που μένουν εδώ για γενεές και γενεές μάλλον σκεύτονται διαφορετικά για την εκκλησία τους.
Βασικά δεν είμαι σίγουρος που θέλω να καταλήξω ... οπότε ας το αφίσουμε εδώ.
