The stories use different styles of anime, and the visual aesthetics (at least in some of the stories) really reminded me of Japanese Samurai stories in told in anime format and story. The trailer for the new animated star trek series is officially out (with the series premiering in a few short weeks). I wasn't really sure about this series when I first heard about it, mostly because it was associated with Rick and Morty (another animated series which I don't particularly like - the dialog is not for me). This came across my radar recently: a live action futurama fan film (probably just a trailer, but still). There is something odd and creepy about it, but it did get a laugh out of me :-)

I am most likely late to the party, but recently (just as season 2 was released) I started watching Daredevil on netflix.  I was curious to watch this made-for-streaming show, but the informal reviews I'd heard from friends made it sound marginal (at best).  In any case, having finished season 1 (spoilers to follow) I can say that I am actually liking this show much more than I thought

I was listening to Earl Grey, one of the Trek.fm podcasts, this past week, and the topic of discussion was about a fictions scenario, a what if they had made an animated series out of Star Trek: The Next Generation in the 90s once the live action series was off the air.  It was a pretty funny episode to listen to, especially if you've seen the mess that is Star Trek the animated series...well...and

A find on Facebook this week. An interesting animation of getting sucked into a game (Tron-style) and escaping from it ;-)  The music needed a little better intro, but the visual synched pretty nicely with the audio once things got going!

I was testing blogger/vimeo integration with IFTTT (if this then that).  Seems to have worked well!  Here is an animated introduction (fan made) to the show The Wire. I am currently half way through.  Not a  bad show!
