This past weekend I finished off Fable III.  All things considered it was an interesting button smashing game, but the ending was a but anti-climactic.  I ended up being able to save the kingdom, but there were a lot of casualties because I decided to keep most of my promises and I ended up coming up on the side of Good. Microsoft may have killed its double screen tablet before it even got off the ground, but some enterprising folks have brought the concept to the iPad.  This is pretty interesting. It reminds me a lot of the concept of smart object/plug-in architecture that they were going to do in the original MacOS 8 (copland) but the project was eventually a failure.

When I came home yesterday I fired up my xbox 360 to get the new OS update that gives me the Metro style UI. In the grand scheme of things I do like it. I think it's high time that Microsoft looked at its product offerings and designed some consistency (or at least a common theme) across its services. The desktop and Window metaphor is getting a bit stale - it's still useful, but not in all contexts
