Last month the BBC was airing a new mini series called Occupation. The series was only three episodes long however it was really powerful, and definitely worth a watch.

The series follows three British soldiers from the start of the Iraq invasion in 2003 until 2007. Some of the people who start off as soldiers end up not signing up again but they do become security contractors lured by the seemingly unlimited supply of money that the US government is willing to hand out for the rebuilding of Iraq.

This isn't one of those fluff series about how good it is to go to war and to "liberate" people, but rather it's a war series more akin to Black Hawk Down. Some of the emotions I felt while watching this mini series are the same as watching black hawk down. This is not one for the fait of heart - and I don't say this because of the guts and gore, but because of the emotional repercussions of war.
