A nice, short, overview of the community of inquiry framework for those who are new to it. The book basically breaks down to 1/2 being about the CoI (discussing each part in details, and encompassing recent research), and 1/2 being application. It was an interesting overview of the CoI, which I've gotten from other angles in the past, but it was nice to see what one of the originators of the framework has to say about it twenty years down the road. Still, after reading this, I would have liked to have gotten some examples of having applied the framework and what the description that the CoI tells us about a learning environment actually means.
