Here's another Netflix remake, and this one is quite good (compared to both the original and the motion picture of the late 90s).  The story (predictably, for anyone who had a vague recollection of the original) follows the Robinsons who are...lost in space.  They are part of a colonization project, and I guess people are leaving earth because we've 🤬it up...again (so much sci-fi seems to be about humans leaving earth because we've messed things up...)

Anyway, the family gets stranded and they find a robot who befriends their youngest member (Will Robinson) - a kid who grows up rather quickly throughout the series.  All the kids are actually quite high-performing, being left alone for the first part of Season 3 to fend for themselves!

Various themes in the series: exploration (of course), family, new friends, new families, and redemption (and also discovery and rediscovery).  Definitely worth a watch!  I think this is one of those series I'd watch again and again.
