Damn, these broadcasters keep taking away shows that I watch leaving television to be a barren wasteland of reality shows and desperate ____________ (fill in the blank with your favorite type of desperate).

The latest shows to get the axe are both on ABC. The first show is Defying Gravity. It's about a group of internationally selected astronauts that are on a seven years mission (two more than the enterprise!) around our solar system doing science related research. Their real mission though is a mystery since it appears that something is pulling the strings (from putting the mission together, to the selection of who makes it, to what they do), but I guess we won't find out who or what is pulling the strings since they cancelled it >:(

The other show that was cancelled was Kyle XY. This summer I was able to catch up with all three seasons for Kyle XY on Hulu. (something I've been meaning to follow since the beginning but never did). Come to find out ABC cancelled this show too, and they left it on a cliffhanger. I mean seriously, if you are going to cancel a show, you might as well give the last season a full season and resolve the plot!

I hope that no other favorite shows get the axe. Just as I've discovered the joys of HD (yeah, I finally started using ATSC), and thinking that I would watch broadcast because of quality and have hulu be the backup in case I am in class or something - instead of having Hulu be my main source and watch broadcast as an alternative. Good job ABC :-) Way to keep people off the broadcast and on Hulu :-)
