The finale for Letterkenny was this past May (at least for us Hulu viewers, maybe it was available earlier in Canada), so I thought I'd write a couple thoughts on the series. 

Letterkenny takes place in a rural Ontario community, which took its name from Letterkenny in Ireland and is populated mostly by the descendants of Irish immigrants who escaped to Canada during the Great Famine. The show kicks off each episode with "There are 5000 people in Letterkenny. These are their problems," so that gives you an idea of what the show is (mostly) about.  Letterkenny focuses on Wayne and Katy (siblings) who run a small farm and produce stand with help from Wayne's friends Daryl and Squirrely Dan.  I'd say that I often got "King of the Hill" vibes, but in Canada.

There are other recurring characters and through them we explore life in a small-town.  Other character groups include the farmers ("Hicks"), gym goers and out-of-towners who play for the local ice hockey team ("Jocks"), the town's (obviously) closeted Christian minister Glen, the drug addicts ("Skids"), members of the nearby First Nation reservation ("Natives"), the neighboring Mennonites, and the Québécois (tabernac!).  The show's characters felt like they a constant flow of one-liners, puns, comebacks, and wordplay when in conversation with each other, which made the show a lot of fun to watch for Seasons 1 through 3.
