Well...another service bites the dust!  This time around Yahoo is cleaning house with Yahoo Screen.  It's pretty funny because a day or so before I read the news of the closure of the service I deleted the app from my iPad.  I had originally downloaded the app in order to view the last season of Community.  Once I finished that (and I sure did take my sweet time to watch it), I was thinking of watching Other Space - but final projects got in the way.

I guess Yahoo wanted to be in the content-making business, which is fine, but these things cost a ton of money, and they don't necessarily make money back right away.  While I loved community, I think the show was a bit past its prime given the content of the show - life of an unlikely band of friends who are all students at a community college.  There was a lot of comedy around it, and it was meant to be over the top, but there is only so many seasons one can take of this type of plot. The show needs to move on, or close out gracefully.

Maybe I should go watch Other Space before that gets yanked...
