A while back (5-6 years ago?)  digital badging for learning was the new hotness, and I was pretty excited about digital badge credentials.  Quite a few companies rushed to join this goldrush offering online platforms for credentialing, but it seems like the dust is settling.  With 2019 gone, one of these providers (and won't you know, it's the one I used for the classes I teach) is shutting down their free offerings and offering a paid service called Acclaim.  I guess it's easier to shut a freemium service down instead of creating ill-will and by making it paid only.   Adieu, Credly.  It was fun being part of your community!
