Happy Halloween!Well, this one is going to be odd!  We had our first snow yesterday, it's cold out there, the coronavirus is still looming, and Salem is closed for Halloween.  I guess it's going to be quiet today...Google's doodle this year is pretty fun.  You play a browser game as a little black cat who tries to rid the land of ghosts, only to inadvertently cast them off to sea. So,

 Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, Reddit posts from people who want to visit still are plentiful, and there are queues to get into restaurants and attractions.  This morning I got a lot of notifications from the official Salem app that attractions are fully booked for today as of 10am this morning.It makes me wonder what is wrong with people sometimes...

Seems like Scratch Kitchen is the latest casualty of the COVID-19 closures.  Cinema Salem (our community movie theater) was first, then Beerworks (although I am hoping they'll relocate), and now Scratch Kitchen. Scratch was set apart by having local produce, and organic (oh yeah, and lots of bacon).  The thing that stunk was that their hours were not always predictable...

Every month Google sends me a note indicating what data it has collected about my comings and goings. I guess Google also likes to remind me that I don't go very far these days due to the COVID emergency 😜. Considering that I usually walk this distance (and that I didn't have a car in May), this ain't bad at all.
