For the past month or so I've been using Microsoft's LiveMesh.

LiveMesh, for those that don't know, is a service that allows you to share folders on your Mac or Windows-based machine, and those synchronize with Microsoft's LiveMesh servers and your content isn't only available on that particular machine, but also online and on any other machine that you have LiveMesh (and your credentials) installed. Best of all, this service is free!

Now what does this service remind you of? Well, it should remind you of Apple's MobileMe service called iDisk.

I've been a Mobile Me subscriber for a number of years (I still have an @mac.com email address! :-) ) and I have used iDisk as a storage medium for whenever I want things both at work and at home. MobileMe touts Windows support, but iDisk is not supported! Sure you can fire up a browser and browse and download what you want, but that's a pain.

For a service that cost $99 per year it would be nice to be able to have my iDisk mount under Windows, especially when a competing and free service does provide this functionality!
