This season sees the team go to Gotham! We get to see old favorites, like Barbara Gordon (now police commissioner) and Old Man Wayne, who is still haunted by his past. Interestingly enough the joker is still around! I would have expected people who are dumped in a vat of chemicals to not get that old, but whatever.  The Joker lures Jason (the new Robin) into a trap and kills him (oh yeah, spoiler alert), which gets Bruce all vindictive and he finally kills the laughing maniac.

Jason doesn't stay dead for long, he is resurrected and becomes the Red Hood (not the Red Hood I was expecting) and he turns to the dark side (I would say, under duress from the Scarecrow). The scarecrow escapes from Arkham, they take over Wayne Manor (while Bruce is away) and threaten to destroy Gotham.  Oh yeah, the police turn evil, but what else is new?  The Titans end up saving Gotham, and I think we might actually see a kinder Bruce going forward, someone who had reckoned with his past and is ready to be kind to himself and others.  Bruce isn't the only one who learns more about themselves.  Most of the Titans get to either know more about their past (Starfire's past and royal status for example), or get to do some soul searching. I was bummed by Hawk's death.  

Overall this season was great. The Arrowverse definitely  needs to step up its game ;-)
