Looks like Defiance (the MMO) is getting an update.  The updated version launches this summer and is called Defiance 2050. The television show took place starting in 2046, so I guess the developers might be moving the timeline a little forward (well, the show was 3 seasons long, so many it picks up the story after the show?). On the good side of things it seems like they are streamlining the leveling of characters, the way you get bonuses and powers, and the types of gear that you get.  The bad side of things is that you won't be able to transfer your current character from the existing game, and neither will you be able to transfer your gear and uniforms.  Some things like titles that you've earned appear to be transferable, and if you play the old game you get "valor points" - whatever those are - for getting exclusive gear in 2050.   The game play from the most recent Twitch video seemed to be mostly remastering existing Defiance missions.  This is fine, maybe I can FINALLY beat Nim Shandu (or whatever his name is) which seemed to be unnecessarily hard (I was at about 900 EGO, which doesn't seem to be bad).  I wonder what new stories they have in store...
