Seems like Microsoft has also put out a "year in review" for people who play games on xbox (I wonder if it also counts xbox live on Windows).  Seems like I spent a lot of time playing games in 2015 (to balance out the hard work of studying for my doctorate no doubt).  It does seem like my friends (the 3 that I have on xbox live) don't play a ton of games.    Maybe

This past semester one of my colleagues, and fellow co-instructor of the Instructional Design capstone project, suggested we use a new service called Pi to bring our sections together. This sounded like a great idea given that the capstone course tends to be pretty hermetic for most students, since they work on individual projects.  The separate sections also have a low number of students

Well, the first trailer for Beyond is out... and it looks like Mission Impossible in Space.  It's not that it's bad.  I like the trailer - but it' just very generic looking.  It looks like a generic, space, action movie that just happens to have the Star Trek logos and crew in it. Maybe other trailers in the future will be more indicative of what the movie is actually about.

Just caught this on one of my facebook feeds - a trailer for the sequel to Independence Day.  This looks like a pretty fantastic sci-fi film (and I hope it's a great sequel).  I remember seeing the original in the theaters one of my first summers back from Greece :) I did notice a noticeable absence of Will Smith though...
