I came across this demo via reddit recently.  Before Apple bought NeXT to bring us OS X, Apple had A/UX (Apple Unix) which ran on classic macs (I think before System 7).  In my early days on the Internet I came across A/UX 3.0 installation discs (which I am pretty sure I've backed up somewhere).  I wonder if I can get a Basilisk instance of this running...

A blast from the past!  I remember reading the Mac magazines (MacWorld, MacUser, and MacAddict) back in 1996 and waiting eagerly the next incarnation of MacOS. While many of the ideas from this went into the actual MacOS 8, Copland never made it out of the lab.  You can find installation discs for this on the web today in various repositories which is great, but I am wondering how one goes

I really don't get the whole craze around the NES classic.  I never had an NES (but I've played games on it).  I've played enough games on emulators, and granted the keyboard isn't as satisfying as a gamepad,  if I felt like playing those games more often I'd go the Sweets route (orange cat here) - just get the original console and a CRT ;-)

What a difference 20 years make :-) When I was in high school this would have seemed so awesome. Well, it still does, but the super nintendo and the genesis were the thing back then, and shoving it all into a gameboy form factor would have blown my mind!

Seems like some enterprising individuals has gotten Windows 95 to boot on a Nintendo 3DS.  Pretty cool! Not sure how useful it is, but cool nevertheless.

Well, it's been a long time (22 years and counting to be more precise), but it seems that someone has patches the Apple IIgs OS, which reminds one of the original Mac System UI to System 6.0.2.  You can read more about  this update on A.P.P.L.E.'s website. I guess it was only a matter of time before some ported emulators  on Android Wear.  This one is a port of vMac, the Mac Classic emulator which I think runs System 6 and System 7. On a touch-screen, with touch screen controls, it's not all that great. However, if someone could figure out a way to pair a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to it... that could be something. We've had the Einstein emulator for quite some time now on Windows and Mac (and some Linux-based PDAs), but not on the iPhone or any other iOS device. Now that is no longer an issue!
